Hive is a feature-rich, elegant responsive theme for RapidWeaver that provides you a brilliant canvas on which to build your portfolio, blog or small business site.

The Hive theme gets you started right out of the gate with its professional stock banners. Hive includes 35 stock designs, ranging from photographs to 3D renders.

We've included 15 empty, customizable slots for your own banner images. You can add your own images to your project via the RapidWeaver resources.

Your custom banner images can be any size. The banner area's height is determined by your image's size. Watch our Banner tutorial video for more information.

Hive's site background can be set to one of 20 built-in stock images, or you can use your own image. The background image stretches out to fill the browser window and is fixed in place. Watch our Backgrounds tutorial video for more information.

There are 8 different ExtraContent areas in Hive theme to allow you to break out of the standard layout mold. Be sure to watch the ExtraContent video, under the Tutorial's tab above, to see where each is located and how to make use of them, and their related theme variations.

Many of the ExtraContent areas in the Hive theme can be set to have translucent so that the beautiful stock backgrounds, or your custom backgrounds, can show through. You can also use your own images for the some of the ExtraContent area backgrounds.

This theme features a dual navigation. One version of the navigation is located in the title bar area as a collapsable navigation. A second copy of the navigation can also be found in the sidebar. Check out the live preview site to see it in action.

We've included 9 different, preset navigation styles in the Hive theme for you to choose from, ranging from simple translucent blacks and whites, to subtle warm oranges, and electric blues. Or you can use the color pickers to set your own colors.

We've provided a plethora of font choices to choose from in order to help customize the look of your site. You can change the font style of the Site Title, Slogan, Content, Sidebar, Navigation, and ExtraContent areas.

The sidebar can be placed on the left- or right-hand side of the content area, or hidden all together. You can choose a different location for the sidebar on a page-by-page basis. The blog's archives are located in the sidebar of the theme, as well as the secondary copy of the site's navigation.

Included in the Hive theme's variations are 45 different color pickers. These color pickers help you to modify the look of everything from your content text and links, right down to your navigation, site background and much more!

Hive is responsive, and scales down to fit the visitor's browser, or mobile device. You can set a maximum width set for its content area. You can choose from 9 different width options, ranging from 800 - 1,500 px in size, or have it fill the full width of the browser window.

Hive allows you to toggle on a beautiful, responsive lightbox to showcase the images on your Photo Album pages, making them open in a modal popup. Your users can even browse your entire gallery of images right from the lightbox.

The Hive theme allows you to indicate if a page will contain videos embedded in it from YouTube or Vimeo. If enabled the theme will use its magic to ensure that those videos are responsive.

The Hive theme features your logo in the title bar to the left-hand side of the site title. This puts your logo right at the top of each page. The theme will scale your logo down to fit the available space. You can see it in action on our live preview site to get an idea of where it is placed.
