Labeling your pages

Time to read: 1 minute

It is always a good idea to keep your page names short and succinct. Instead of labeling your Photo Album page “Photos of my trip to Venice” try something more to the point like “Venice” or just “Photos.”

This not only looks much better, but will save you space and keep your site from looking cluttered and disorganized. It will also help you out if you’re using a theme that has a horizontal navigation bar. Horizontal navigations have a limited amount of space simply due to the fact that there’s only so much you can fit on one line. And if you’re using a responsive theme this can limit your space a little more, too since the navigation bar changes size as the browser’s width is reduced.

Still need help?

If you haven't done so already, be sure to have a look at the product page of the theme or stack for which seeking help. Each product page has tutorial videos that walk you through using that product's options.

The product pages also offer a vast wealth of information in the details section which often answers a lot of users' questions as well.
