RapidWeaver 6 is coming. And soon.
So, it is no secret that RapidWeaver 6 is right around the corner. Realmac Software announced today even that it will be available on October 21, 2014. So what does this mean for Elixir customers? Well, read on and find out...
RapidWeaver 6 is big for us. I’ve been hard at work not only helping to test the app, and filing bug reports on beta builds of the app, but I’ve also been hard at work on a brand-new theme that you’ll be able to find in this new version of RapidWeaver.
In addition to this new theme I’ve also been hard at work on a suite of stacks that are just about ready for release. These new stacks, while they’ll be RapidWeaver 5 compatible, will get a big boost from one of RapidWeaver 6’s newest features. I’m just putting the finishing touches on these new stacks. So be looking for that in the near-ish future as well.
Many people have been asking me about our current lineup of products, both themes and stacks, and whether they’ll work in RapidWeaver 6, and the answer is yes. Each and every one will work, just as it is, in RapidWeaver 6. That being said, if you’re an Elixir customer, you will have already noticed I’ve been sending out updates for all of my products. This is mostly to add niceities to these add-ons, or to fix a couple bugs here and there. These updates don’t have anything to do with compatibility. So if you’ve not updated a theme or stack of mine, don’t worry, when RapidWeaver 6 releases, your Elixir themes and stacks will still work fine.
I do encourage you to update your products though that way you can get any fixes I’ve issued and so you can experience some of those niceties when RapidWeaver 6 launches.
Stay tuned as we continue to issue a few more updates and gear up for next week’s big launch. We’ll have some new hotness for you on launch day as well. If you’re not a newsletter subscriber, signup using the form at the bottom of the page, in the footer, and I’ll keep you notified of new products as they come out. And best of all, when I send out newsletters I often send out discount codes as well.
