More fun with desktop wallpaper: Dr. Fate

It's Wednesday and that means that it's not just comic book release day, but also time for a new desktop wallpaper. 

This week's desktop is the Helm of Nabu for Dr. Fate. Some of you may be unfamiliar with Dr. Fate as he originated in D.C.'s Golden Age, but after being introduced to the character through Smallville, on a Geoff Johns written episode, I was intrigued to say the least.

In Brightest Day, in Blackest night…

While my favorite character in superhero comics is Spider-Man / Peter Parker, my second favorite would have to be the Green Lantern. I don't particularly favor one Green Lantern over another. I'd have to say some of my favorites are Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan and Kilowog. 

For the fourth desktop in my ongoing series I've chosen to pay tribute to the Green Lantern Corps.

A wonderful new wallpaper

So I've decided to make this an ongoing series of comic related desktop wallpapers. I'm not going to set a timeframe for it, otherwise it could end up being more tedious than fun. And currently I'm having quite a good time working on it.

After finishing up the Thunderbolts desktop wallpaper yesterday morning I thought it would be a nice challenge to work on some more metallic surfaces. So late in the day yesterday I spent some time whipping up another comic related desktop.

Hey everyone! I needed a little break from support tickets this morning so I whipped up a new desktop wallpaper for myself that I thought I'd share with everyone.

If know me even a little bit you know that I'm a huge comic book geek. So today's wallpaper is based off of the Thunderbolts. In case you're unfamiliar with the Thunderbolts, give this a read. In short, the Thunderbolts are a team of 'heroes' composed of former villians. Redemption is often the overarching theme for the book. It is a great book, and has been on our pull list for quite some time now.
