A wonderful new wallpaper
So I've decided to make this an ongoing series of comic related desktop wallpapers. I'm not going to set a timeframe for it, otherwise it could end up being more tedious than fun. And currently I'm having quite a good time working on it.

A wallpaper for the Master of Magnetism himself
After finishing up the Thunderbolts desktop wallpaper yesterday morning I thought it would be a nice challenge to work on some more metallic surfaces. So late in the day yesterday I spent some time whipping up another comic related desktop.

Thunderbolts desktop wallpaper
Hey everyone! I needed a little break from support tickets this morning so I whipped up a new desktop wallpaper for myself that I thought I'd share with everyone.
If know me even a little bit you know that I'm a huge comic book geek. So today's wallpaper is based off of the Thunderbolts. In case you're unfamiliar with the Thunderbolts, give this a read. In short, the Thunderbolts are a team of 'heroes' composed of former villians. Redemption is often the overarching theme for the book. It is a great book, and has been on our pull list for quite some time now.

Teach yourself a little something new this week
I thought it might be useful to RapidWeaver users to have a regular roundup on the blog here. So once a week I'm going to try to do a roundup of various different things. Some times it will be inspiring sites, sometimes it will be RapidWeaver tutorials or just web design tips and tricks.
This week I chose to kick things off with a roundup of some RapidWeaver tutorials, both old and new, that I think will be useful to both the new and experienced RapidWeaver users. Everything from your first blog page to using Stacks and setting up SEO in RapidWeaver.

NCD introduces Lynx Stacks plugin
Nick Cates, who is well known as a theme designer and developer for RapidWeaver, has just released his first stacks plug-in today.
It is a beautiful add-on with a great interface. Here's a brief description from Nick:
"Lynx is a 'space hog' stack that assumes you have many things to link together, like tee-shirts, artwork, various packages, music albums, songs, etc… Lynx was made to act as a full scale e-commerce store, downloads area, or good ole' fashion external link farm. Lynx is not meant to be squashed into a nested super-tiny stacks container, it's meant take up a lot of space - with other stacks either above or below it."
Hop on over to NCDThemes and give it a look.

Introducing the Cafe theme for RapidWeaver
I've been wanting to do some distinctly stylized themes recently. So when I set out to create this theme I headed down that very road. The Cafe theme is a beautiful template for RapidWeaver with a unique layout and design, which will help you in designing a great site and really making your content shine.
This theme features some new features like a built-in theme F.A.Q. as well as a specialized banner slideshow feature. The Cafe theme also features many of the options that we've made popular in our latest themes like the Blog Entry Topper, photo album LightBox, social networking badges and more.

Just a few quick notes on some updates for themes. I recently sent out a couple of updates, one being for the Nimbus theme, and another for the Adventure theme. If you're a customer you've already received these updates via email. But here's an overview of what they were for, as well as an update note on the Nimbus theme.

I've had a large number of people report a couple of bugs that have cropped up over that last week or so when RapidWeaver was updated (both to versions 5.1.1 and most recently to 5.2). I just wanted to go over what the bugs are and what is happening with them since I've received a lot of correspondence related to these two things.

Just a quick heads up for everyone -- I'll be taking a long weekend and traveling out of state for the Fourth of July weekend.
I'll likely not be responding to any support tickets or answering any email while I'm gone. We're leaving Thursday afternoon and will be returning Tuesday evening, so I'll likely get back to work on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
